Systematically sort out the core materials and form norms required for foreign students to apply for an X1 visa for long-term study in China (more than 180 days), helping applicants prepare all the materials at one time and smoothly pass the visa application. This article, based on the general requirements of Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, clearly states that the basic materials include a passport valid for more than six months, an online visa application form, and a recent ID photo that meets the standards. The core study proof materials are two: the original or a copy of the admission notice issued by the recruiting unit within China, and the original or a copy of the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to Study in China (JW201 or JW202 form). Special reminder: Foreign students studying in primary and secondary schools must submit the original or a copy of the "Confirmation Form for Foreign Students to Study in China by Basic Education Institutions" issued by the relevant Chinese education department as an alternative to the JW201/JW202 form. Applicants under the age of 18 May also be required to provide supplementary materials such as birth certificates, copies of their parents' passports, and notarized consent letters from parents who are not accompanying them. The validity period of an X1 visa for entry is 30 days. The visa holder must apply to the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the intended place of residence for a study-type residence permit within 30 days after entry.
