I. Scholarship Details


Renmin University of China offers four types of scholarships for international students: Academic Achievement Award, Academic Progress Award, Social Activity Award, and Outstanding Student Leader Award. These scholarships aim to encourage and recognize international students who study diligently, actively participate in various activities, and comprehensively improve their personal qualities.


The scholarship is awarded once per academic year as a one-time cash prize.


Standards for the Academic Achievement Award:


First Prize: 3,000 yuan per person;


Second Prize: 2,000 yuan per person;


Third Prize: 1,000 yuan per person;


Standard for the Academic Progress Award: 1,000 yuan per person;


Standard for the Social Activity Award: 1,000 yuan per person;


Standard for the Outstanding Student Leader Award: 2,000 yuan per person.


II. Eligible Programs


All degree programs.


III. Applicant Qualifications


All enrolled degree students who are not in their final year of study.


1. Undergraduate students in their first, second, or third year; first-year master’s students (two-year program); first- and second-year master’s students (three-year program); and first-year doctoral students.


2. Students applying for the Academic Achievement Award must have a GPA ranking within the top 20% among international students in their respective year at the college.


3. Applicants must have no history of expired visas or any violations of laws, school regulations, or disciplinary rules.


IV. Application Period


Early April each year.


V. Application Process


1. Eligible students must complete the “Renmin University of China International Student Scholarship Application Form” within the specified timeframe.


2. The college reviews applicants’ eligibility for the scholarship.


3. The International Student Office re-examines applicant qualifications, organizes the review process, and announces the list of awardees.

3. Recommendation letter from the student’s college.
