Announcement of the National Immigration Administration on Implementing the Visa-Free Policy for Tourist Groups from ASEAN Countries Entering Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province

With the approval of the State Council, the National Immigration Administration has decided to implement a visa-free policy for ASEAN tourist groups entering Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. The announcement is as follows:

Effective immediately, tourist groups from ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia), consisting of two or more persons holding ordinary passports, organized and received by travel agencies within China and traveling in a group entry/exit manner, may enter and exit through the Jinghong Gasa International Airport Port, Mohan Railway Port, and Mohan Highway Port without obtaining a visa. Their activities are limited to the administrative area of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, with a maximum stay of 6 days (those eligible under mutual visa exemption agreements signed with China or China’s unilateral visa-free policies shall be governed by those provisions). The duration of stay is calculated from 00:00 on the day following entry.
