The "Belt and Road" Scholarship for International Students of Renmin University of China

I. Scholarship Details

To improve the recruitment and training of international students at our university and to attract outstanding international students to study in China, Renmin University of China established the “Belt and Road” Scholarship for International Students in 2017.

This scholarship is a one-time award with the following standards:

First Prize: 80,000 RMB per person;

Second Prize: 40,000 RMB per person;

Third Prize: 20,000 RMB per person.

II. Eligible Programs

Fully English-taught master’s programs; if the scholarship budget for the year remains unused, it may be extended to other academic-level programs open to international students.

III. Applicant Qualifications

International students pursuing degree programs who are nationals of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.

IV. Application Period

September–October each year.

V. Application Process

1. Eligible students must complete the “Renmin University of China ‘Belt and Road’ Scholarship Application Form” within the specified timeframe and submit it to their admitting school for comments.

2. Each school will conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on the applicant’s materials and interview performance, sign opinions according to the number of scholarships allocated to the school, determine the order of recommendations, and compile a list of nominated candidates.

3. The Office of International Exchange will review the candidate materials and announce the final list of awardees.
