This time I couldn’t get tickets to the Sanxingdui Museum or the Chengdu Museum, but visiting Jinsha turned out to be an unexpected delight.

❣️ Must-See Artifacts
☀️ Sun Bird Gold Foil: A 0.2 mm-thin gold sheet engraved with four divine birds flying around the sun, representing the ancient Shu people’s imagination of the universe and now serving as China’s cultural heritage emblem!
🎭 Golden Mask: The “same style” as those from Sanxingdui, yet even thinner, proving that ancient Shu gold craftsmanship had reached its peak.
🐘 Asian Elephant Tusk Pile: Over one ton of elephant tusks were unearthed, suggesting that the Chengdu Plain was once a habitat for elephants (climate change confirmed!).
