💖A self-drive trip took me to an incredibly beautiful place—Xiaoruo Village in Wenling!
This is a colorful fishing village hidden along the eastern coast of Zhejiang, truly a photographer’s paradise!
🚗Transportation Guide
By car: Navigate to “Wenling Shitang Xiaoruo Village.” There’s parking at the entrance, costing 30 yuan per day. I arrived in the late afternoon near sunset, and parking was a bit tight—perhaps it’s busier on regular days, so try to come early if you can.
⏰Best Time to Visit — The weather is comfortable, the sky is clear, and the sea has excellent visibility, making for stunning photos.
Timing: From 3 PM to 6 PM in the evening is the golden hour. The afternoon sunlight is soft, and you can enjoy a breathtaking seaside sunset from the mountaintop viewing platform.
📸Must-Take Photo Spot — Qilin Mountain Viewing Platform: Navigate to the Tianhou Palace, follow the signs marked “Qilin Mountain,” and hike for about 15–20 minutes to reach the top.
This is the best spot to overlook the entire Xiaoruo Village and watch the sunset. The colorful village bathed in the glow of the evening clouds is absolutely breathtaking.

🍱Food Recommendation After taking photos, I stopped down below for a bowl of seafood noodles. The taste was good, with very fresh seafood, definitely worth recommending.
Grandma’s Seafood Noodles: Located at the village entrance, priced at 35 yuan per bowl. It’s packed with shrimp, crab, clams, and boasts a rich, flavorful broth that’s so delicious you’ll want to lick your bowl clean.
💡Important Notes
Weather Choice: Be sure to visit on a sunny day. On cloudy days, the houses look dull and lack that fairytale charm.
Accommodation Choice: Staying within the scenic area isn’t recommended. During peak season, village guesthouses are quite expensive. Guesthouses in Ruoshan Town offer better value and are just a 10-minute walk from Xiaoruo Village.
Outfit Suggestions: Wear light-colored clothing, such as white, light blue, or pale pink dresses or tops—they pair perfectly with the colorful houses, creating fresh, photogenic looks.
In short, Xiaoruo Village in Wenling is an incredibly romantic and photogenic destination. The sunset is absolutely stunning, far more beautiful than any photo can capture. If you want to feast your eyes, make a note of this place and plan a visit soon! 💕
