Chongqing · Eye of the Clouds ~ The Ultimate Romance at a height of 520 meters

Passed by several times, finally brought a friend up here.

A beautiful red staircase—definitely not friendly to someone as afraid of heights as I am. Luckily, I’m also severely nearsighted; once I take off my glasses, I can’t see much at all and end up feeling less scared.

From 7:30 PM to 8:10 PM, in just 40 minutes, the lights gradually came on (fully lit at 8:00 PM), and the sky shifted from a grayish blue to almost complete darkness.

The night view of the mountain city slowly spread out. While marveling at the stunning interplay of light and shadow, I kept circling the 360° observation deck, snapping photos. This fleeting transformation was both thrilling and captivating.

My only regret is that I didn’t bring a camera—the quality of the photos taken with my phone still falls far short of what a camera can deliver, and rainy weather made the results even less than ideal.
