Half-day Tour Guide for Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
Both Dad and Mom are big fans of fish, so they decided to head out on a hot afternoon! A one-year-old baby is super interested in moving and novel creatures, making it a perfect outing for kids!
🎫 Tickets are 160 per person; children under 1 meter are free. Buy one day in advance to save 5 yuan.
🛗 Strollers are allowed but very inconvenient! The elevators only stop at fixed floors and require staff assistance to swipe the card. The single-route layout means you have to backtrack to find the elevator, which can be quite cumbersome with a young child.
🚻 Each floor has restrooms and nursing rooms.
📍 Recommended route: 3rd floor (Chinese area/South American area where you can touch starfish) → 2nd floor (penguins + stunning jellyfish) → B2 (the popular long underwater tunnel) → 1st floor souvenir shop.
💡 It’s recommended to visit on weekdays, as weekends are crowded— even the tunnel gets packed on weekdays. The total area isn’t large, so three hours is enough. It’s best suited as a quick stop during nearby activities; if you want a more exciting experience, consider Haichang Ocean Park.
