Only when you go to Chengdu will you realize how amazing Panda Valley really is! The park and panda base here are a bit smaller, so it’s not too tiring to walk around. The areas are clearly divided, and compared to the Panda Base, there are far fewer people here. But here you can see giant pandas up close and even have intimate interactions with red pandas—truly super healing!

⚠ Panda Valley tips

1. It’s recommended to visit the pandas early in the morning. The pandas are more active then, and at 9 o’clock the keepers start feeding them, so you can watch the giant pandas enjoying their meals.

2. The red pandas at Panda Valley are not kept in enclosures. When there are fewer visitors, they’re more likely to appear on the boardwalks, allowing you to see them up close.

3. You’re not allowed to bring food into the red panda viewing area. There are lockers at the entrance where you can store your items and retrieve them after your visit.

4. Once you leave the red panda area, you cannot re-enter. Please take your time to enjoy the views and take plenty of photos before leaving.
