Hangzhou Botanical Garden: A Super Friendly and Detour Guide
Families, who can relate?! Last week I followed the “North In, South Out” route and walked non-stop for 2 hours, almost collapsing in the botanical garden 😭 But as soon as I stepped out of the South Gate and crossed the street, I stumbled into this tea garden hotel and instantly felt healed!
🌿 No-Backtracking Itinerary (2–3 hours, hardly any retracing steps!)
Enter through the North Gate → Shanshui Garden (morning water lilies + egrets, straight out of a Japanese film) → Yuquan Fish Leaping (giant koi carp, wear hanfu for picture-perfect moments) → Plant Resources Hall (a must-visit with kids, plant rubbings for 20 rmb) → Herb Garden (weird and wonderful plants, great for learning) → Han Meilin Art Museum (the Buddha head sculpture is super photogenic) → Exit through the South Gate
💡 Practical Information
Botanical Garden: 8:30–16:30; don’t time it to the last minute
Recommended combo: “Botanical Garden + Hotel.” Spend the morning exploring the garden, then relax at the hotel in the afternoon—enjoy both travel and vacation in one day!
